The Bailey Building with the new exhibit "Appalachian Patriots and the Revolutionary War" is now open.​

YHA RAFFLE TO BENEFIT SMOKEHOUSE ROOFING PROJECT

• Jean Phillips, YHA Historian and devoted volunteer, made a beautiful purple and white afghan
  for the Yancey History Association to raffle. It measures 44 by 58 inches. Raffle tickets are
  $2 each or 3 for $5 and can be obtained at the YHA office at 3 Academy Street (Bailey
  Building), Burnsville, NC. The Bailey Building of the Rush Wray Museum complex is open
  from Wednesday- Saturday from 10 am – 4 p.m. For more information or to pay by credit

• YHA is also having a donation auction of Blue Ridge Pottery Chrysnthemum Pattern (53
  piece service of 8). It includes 8 cups & saucers, 8 plates, 8 berry bowls, 8 B & B plates, and
  8 soup bowls. The set also includes an oval serving platter, round vegetable blowl, creamer

• Both raffle and donation auction will benefit the next project for YHA- replacement of the
  cedar shake roof on the Smokehouse. The Smokehouse was re-located to the grounds of the
  Rush Wray Museum complex and covers the original cistern for the historic McElroy House​
